BROADCASTING RECEIVING APPARATUS AND AUDIO SIGNAL FILTERING METHOD THEREOF

A broadcasting receiving apparatus and an audio signal filtering method thereof are provided to remove the interference of an adjacent video signal by changing tuning frequency bandwidth or filtering an audio signal included in a broadcasting signal according to a broadcasting method. A tuner unit tunes a broadcasting signal(S200), and an audio decoder performs an AGC process and an ADC process for the signal included in an audio region(S210). An audio decoder performs band pass filtering for the signal of the audio region in 7MHz and outputs the filtered signal(S220). An audio decoder compares a signal level of the filtered audio region with a standard level(S230). If the signal level of the audio region is larger than the standard level(S240), the audio decoder performs low band pass filtering for the signal of the audio region(S250). The audio decoder performs the AGC and ADC processes for the audio signal outputted after the low band pass filtering, and then outputs the audio signal after a signal operation(S260).
