METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DESIGNING A NETWORK OF MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM USING A PORTABLE TERMINAL

A method for designing the network of a mobile communication system by using a portable terminal is provided to perform the design at the spot more scientifically and efficiently by applying various analysis techniques. A designer inputs location information through an input unit of a portable terminal(S202). The network configuration information for an appointed area is downloaded from a server of a mobile communication network design system to the portable terminal(S204). The propagation condition of the appointed area is calculated based on the downloaded network configuration information and is shown on a display unit of the portable terminal(S206). The designer grasps the shadow region through the displayed propagation condition, and then inputs information about a virtual base station to the downloaded network configuration information to remove the shadow region(S208).
