APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MEASURING OF FIELDS DIGITAL MULTIMEDIA BROADCASTING

An apparatus and a method for measuring digital multimedia broadcasting fields are provided to express a sensitivity level of receiving a DMB signal in a moving path locus by a color, thereby easily checking a state of a DMB broadcasting signal. A multimedia broadcasting receiver(130) receives a digital multimedia broadcasting signal. The digital multimedia broadcasting signal comprises image data and audio data provided through a specific channel. A bit error rate generating unit(140) measures a bit error rate about wireless receiving sensitivity of the received digital multimedia broadcasting signal. A control unit(150) matches current time information, the measured bit error rate and terminal location information corresponding to the bit error rate every predetermined time unit. A map matching data display unit(170) performs map matching on pre-stored map data to display receiving sensitivity information of a terminal by using the terminal location information corresponding to the bit error rate and the measured bit error rate.
