Zusammenfassung:A text-to-speech apparatus, a recording medium and a method thereof are provided to increase fast reading performance by adjusting a phoneme length of fricative sound and a phoneme length of other phonemes. A speech reading apparatus(2) reads text data by converting the text data into speech. A determination unit determines phoneme data corresponding to phonemes of the text data and pause data corresponding to pauses in the text data. A phoneme length control unit modifies the phoneme data corresponding to fricative sound. An output unit outputs speech based on the phoneme data and the pause data.
