Zusammenfassung:	A light control unit for controlling lamps connected to a serial circuit and method thereof is provided to increase the controllable length of the lamp and monitor the state of the lamp automatically. A light control unit for controlling lamps connected to a serial circuit and method thereof is comprised of steps: transmitting a control signal to the nearest individual light lamp(400); checking out the state of the nearest individual light lamps in the response to the control signal(410); transmitting the control signal of the individual connected light lamp(420); confirming existence and nonexistence of a response signal to the control signal at the individual light lamp(430); transmitting the control signal to set up a relay mode to previous individual light lamp having the answer signal and sets up the previous individual lights lamp as the relay mode(431).
