Zusammenfassung:A self-propelled drive device that enables stable drive and is low in cost. The drive device (1) has a mobile body (12), a pair of main plate springs (8), and a base member (11). In the mobile body (12), one end of an electromechanical transducer (13) is fixed to the mobile body (12), a driving friction member (14) fixed to the other end of the electromechanical transducer (13) is held so as to be movable in the extending/contracting direction A-B of the electromechanical transducer (13), and the mobile body (12) is supported so as to be movable in the extending/contracting direction A-B of the electromechanical transducer (13). The pair of main plate springs (8) extends in a band shape, in the extending/contracting direction A-B of the electromechanical transducer (13), and holds the driving friction member (14). The base member (11) holds the main plate springs (8) in a cantilever manner in the direction of the short sides of the springs. The drive device further has auxiliary springs (9) disposed on the outside of the main plate springs (8) and applying elastic force only to both ends of each of the main plate springs (8).
