Zusammenfassung:An apparatus and a method for positioning a compact base station in a broadband wireless communication system are provided to install the compact base station in an optimal location according to installation space in the broadband wireless communication system. A controller(222) controls entire function of network connection operator. A base station registration process part(224) processes connection procedure of a user(210). The base station registration process part receives MAC(Media Access Control) address of the compact base station and address information of an installation building after connection. A user interface(228) processes en external interfacing function for transceiving connection apparatus and information on the user side. A building structure information storage(232) inside a user management server(230) stores structure information of the building installing the compact base station.
