Zusammenfassung:	An obesity suppressing composition is provided to show excellent effect on decreasing body weight and fat tissue compared to general compositions for suppressing obesity, which are known to be effective for decreasing the body weight. A composition for suppressing obesity comprises 30-50 wt.% of Ephedra sinica and 50-70 wt.% of Thallus Laminariae seu Eckloniae. The composition further comprises Radix et Rhizoma Rhei. The composition is used as a pharmaceutical composition or a health food composition for suppressing the obesity.
