Zusammenfassung:	A faucet of simple structure is provided to filter and sterilize impurities and harmful elements contained in tap water, thereby supplying water that is safe for people to drink. A faucet(100) comprises a water inlet; a water outlet; a main body(120); a sterilization unit(150) for sterilizing tap water; a mesh net(190) for filtering impurities and harmful elements from the tap water; and a switching unit(180) for driving the sterilization unit using water pressure of the incoming tap water. The sterilization unit is constituted by a PCB(152) fixed to an upper part of the main body, a power line(151) connected to the PCB for power supply, a plurality of UV lamps(153) for irradiating ultraviolet rays, a lamp switch(154) for selectively intercepting power supply to the UV lamps, and a water-proof rubber(155) for sealing the lamp switch from water.
