MENU CONTROLLING METHOD FOR MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL

A method for providing a menu of a mobile terminal is provided to solve a problem that a user should get through several stages of menus to select a certain function and it is not easy to search a desired menu in a menu tree. A user sets a key word for each menu item and stores it as menu key word data(S10). When the user selects a menu display function(S12), a controller checks whether the user selects a general menu display function or a menu display function based on searching(S14). When the user selects the menu display function based on searching, the controller displays a menu search window(S16). When the user inputs a certain word on the search window, the controller searches a menu item having a menu keyword for the word inputted by the user(S18). The controller displays a searched menu item to provide a menu(S20).
