Zusammenfassung:A pulverized coal-fired boiler which can reduce both NOx and CO by supplying air efficiently to the central portion of a furnace and to the vicinity of the furnace wall thereby accelerating mixing with combustion gas. A main after air port is arranged to jet air with a momentum large enough for the air to reach the central portion of a furnace whereas a sub-after-air-port is arranged to jet air with a small momentum to the vicinity of the furnace wall, characterized in that the center of cross-section of the sub-after-air-port falls within a range of 1-5 times the diameter of the main after-air-port from the center of cross-section thereof. A pulverized coal-fired boiler which can reduce both NOx and CO by supplying air efficiently to the central portion of the furnace and to the vicinity of the furnace wall thereby accelerating mixing with combustion gas can thereby be provided.
