SEAL FOR LIGHT EMITTING DISPLY DEVICE AND METHOD

A seal for a light emitting display device and a seal method thereof are provided to improve processing speed, lifespan of a hermetic seal, and assembly of a plurality of frit line seals. A sealing method for a light emitting display device(100) includes the steps of: preparing a light emitting layer and first and second substrates, wherein each of the first and second substrates has inner and outer surfaces; stacking a first frit(105) on the inner surface of the first substrate in a first loop pattern; stacking a second frit(110) on the inner surface of at least one of the first and second substrates in a second loop pattern; bonding the inner surfaces of the first and second substrates so that the light emitting layer is interposed between the first and second substrates and at least a part of the first substrate is in overlying registration with at least a part of the second substrate; and heating the first and second frits until a hermetic seal is formed.
