HYBRID PRESSURE/TEMPERATURE TRANSMITTER WITH COPLANAR CAPACITANCE SENSOR

A hybrid pressure/temperature transmitter with a planar capacitance sensor is provided to remove a wire installation cost using wireless telecommunication technology. A hybrid pressure/temperature transmitter(10) with a planar capacitance sensor includes a pipe(11), the planar capacitance sensor, an A/D converter chip, an amplifier(14), and a central processor. The pipe is an elastic structure of a mechanical pressure/temperature meter. The planar capacitance sensor is designed to maximize output when placed on a spot having a predetermined gap from the pipe without influence of external noises. The A/D converter chip converts change of capacitance to electrical signals. The amplifier amplifies the electrical signals. The central processor performs a process of the electrical signals, a linearity process, and compensation.
