Zusammenfassung:A mobile communication terminal and a method for displaying a menu in the same are provided to display a menu corresponding to a specific button, which a user selects through an input unit while an idle screen is displayed, on an idle screen, thereby conveniently servicing various menu screens. An idle screen(300) set by a user is displayed through a display unit of a mobile communication terminal device. If the user selects an upward direction key among four direction keys of a key input unit, an icon corresponding to an icon displayed on the upward direction key disappears in the idle screen while moving in an upward direction after the icon is displayed around the center of the idle screen. A pop-up menu window(340) related to an icon(330) displayed in an indicator area(320) is transparently displayed. If the user clicks a leftward direction key, a pop-up menu window related to a signal intensity icon(330a) positioned at the direct left side of a message notification icon(330b) is transparently displayed.
