Zusammenfassung:An apparatus for recognizing the rotation of a camera and a mobile terminal having the same are provided to enable a magnetic sensor to recognize the rotation angle of a camera if the strength of magnetic force is sufficient regardless of whether the direction of a line of magnetic force and the direction of the magnetic sensor relatively vary due to the rotation of the camera. An apparatus for recognizing the rotation of a camera(310) comprises a magnet(320) and a magnetic sensor(410). The magnet rotates as the camera rotates. A line of magnetic force, generated from the magnet, contains a component of the rotation axis direction of the camera. The magnetic sensor, or a hall sensor, detects magnetic force containing the rotation axis direction component. A segment which links the N and S poles of the magnet together is towards the rotation axis direction of the camera. The magnetic sensor is so installed that the magnetic force sensing direction of the magnetic sensor can be identical to the rotation axis direction of the camera.
