Zusammenfassung:A method and an apparatus for detecting the position of a digital image processing device using auto-focusing are provided to measure the maximum focus position value in each of plural partial regions and determine the position of the digital image processing device in a horizontal state or a vertical state when the average of differences between the maximum focus position values in plural partial regions belonging to a column vertically arranged or a line horizontally arranged is less than a first setting value, thereby determining the position of the digital image processing device automatically. A method for detecting the position of a digital image processing device comprises the following steps of: performing auto-focusing to measure the maximum focus position value in each of plural partial regions(44); and determining the position of the digital image processing device in a horizontal state when the average of differences between the maximum focus position values in plural partial regions belonging to a column vertically arranged is less than a first setting value, while determining the position of the digital image processing device in a vertical state when the average of differences between the maximum focus position values in plural partial regions belonging to a line horizontally arranged is less than the first setting value(45).
