Zusammenfassung:	A digital image processing apparatus and a method of controlling the same are provided to reproduce a multimedia file by using a power ON/OFF button without exposing a function button. A method of controlling a digital image processing apparatus comprises: setting a multimedia file reproducing mode(S10); reproducing a multimedia file(S20); generating a power OFF signal(S30); judging whether to store information on the multimedia file(S40); turning off the apparatus, generating a power ON signal, and reproducing the multimedia file corresponding to the information, in case of storing the imformation(S50,S60,S70); and turning off the apparatus, generating a power ON signal, inputting a signal of selecting the information, and reproducing the multimedia file corresponding to the information, in case of not storing the imformation(S80,S90,S100,S70).
