Zusammenfassung: | An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a frame rate control method thereof are provided to remove video noise generated by frame rate control and achieve expression of variable gradations, thereby more finely and smoothly expressing the video gradation. In an LC panel, data lines and gate lines are formed as crossing each other to define a pixel area. In the LC panel, a TFT(Thin Film Transistor) and LC are configured in the pixel area. A timing controller(50) has first to third frame rate controllers(52,54,56). The first to third frame rate controllers respectively receive RGB(Red, Green and Blue) video data of n bit and convert data of upper n-m bits displaying A gradation into video data by using data of lower m bit so as to control a generation frequency displaying A+1 gradation through different frame rate control patterns. A source driver converts the video data, outputted from the timing controller, into analog voltage and outputs the converted analog voltage to the data line. A gate driver supplies a scan signal to the gate line and writes the video data onto the LC. |
