Zusammenfassung:	A method for controlling the low temperature operation of an air conditioner is provided to control the driving of a compressor and the driving of a fan according to the temperature of an outdoor heat exchanger. A method for controlling the low temperature operation of an air conditioner comprises as the follow steps. A controller turns on the operation of a compressor and turns off an outdoor fan when the air conditioner performs a cooling operation(S100,S110). The controller detects the temperature of an outdoor heat exchanger from a sensor, and compares the detected temperature with a reference temperature used to determine the state of the outdoor fan(S120,S130). The controller controls the state of the outdoor fan according to the comparison result. The controller outputs an on signal to the outdoor fan if the temperature of the outdoor heat exchanger exceeds the reference temperature(S140).
