Zusammenfassung:	A turbo accelerator for preventing turbo lag and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent turbo lag phenomenon by compressing intake air through high speed rotation of a compressor. A turbo accelerator for preventing turbo lag comprises a motor, a solenoid brush(5), a one-way clutch(6) and a cooling fan(7). The motor includes a stator(4) and a rotor(3) mounted at a rotational shaft between a compressor(1) and a turbine(2). The solenoid brush reduces rotational resistance when the compressor rotates by exhaust energy. The one-way clutch restricts high speed rotation of the turbine to reduce exhaust resistance of exhaust gas when the motor rotates. The cooling fan cools a rotational member. A throttle opening degree sensor detects manipulation of a driver. A boost pressure sensor measures pressure of intake air. An engine RPM sensor measures rotational speed of an engine.
