DEVICE FOR IMPROVING RECEIVING ANTENNA DIVERSITY GAIN

An apparatus for improving a receiving antenna diversity gain is provided to obtain a four directional receiving antenna diversity gain through replacement to a base station modem card and addition of a baseband path mapper, thereby stably increasing base station receiving capacity with low costs. A modem(410) includes plural input ports(412a~412d,422a~422d,432a~432d) for each of plural sectors, and generates an output signal for each of the plural sectors by combining plural signals inputted through the plural input ports. A baseband path mapper(420) provides plural paths for connecting plural signals, received from plural antennas(112a,112b,122a,122b,132a,132b) located in the plural sectors, to the plural input ports of the modem. The plural paths includes a path for connecting a signal, received from an antenna located in a sector from a specific sector, to an input port for the specific sector of the modem.
