MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL HAVING A LOCAL NETWORK MANAGEMENT FUNCTION AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME

A mobile terminal having a local area network management function and its control method are provided to save power consumed for searching a target device in releasing a connection of connected devices. When a user selects execution of a Bluetooth function, a terminal controller turns on a Bluetooth function(S10). When a connection to a Bluetooth device is successful, the terminal controller displays a connection state with the Bluetooth device by an icon(S12). The terminal controller checks the connected state upon receiving a Bluetooth signal of the corresponding device(S14). The terminal controller checks whether the target Bluetooth device is connected(S16). If the Bluetooth signal is not received from the target Bluetooth device, the terminal controller displays a connection released state by an icon(S18). The terminal controller checks whether a Bluetooth signal is not received from the Bluetooth device by more than a certain reference time(S20). If the Bluetooth signal is not received by more than the certain reference time, the terminal controller turns off the Bluetooth function(S22) and displays a Bluetooth function off icon(S24).
