A mobile terminal having a TV monitoring function and a TV monitoring method of a mobile terminal are provided to monitor multimedia resources easily which can be reproduced via a TV and control a TV by using a mobile terminal. A radio interface(101) sets a connection of a radio link with a TV receiver, receives at least one of image and audio signals via the radio link from the TV receiver, and transmits a TV control signal. A controller(103) receives at least one of the image and audio signals from the radio interface, converts an event signal instructing TV controlling into a TV control signal and provides the same to the radio interface. A signal processing unit(121) processes at least one of the image and audio signals provided from the controller into a format which can be outputted by a mobile terminal.
