Zusammenfassung:A method and an apparatus for erasing information in a volatile memory are provided to erase data by writing meanless data in the memory forcibly. A volatile memory(204) stores data. A power switch circuit(206) senses external attack. A variable circuit device(211) writes random number data generated by the volatile memory forcibly, when the power switch circuit senses external attack. The variable circuit device is located between the volatile memory and a processor(207) to process data. The variable circuit device includes an address signal generator generating address information indicating a part of an address region of the volatile memory.
