METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC EXECUTING AV SERVICE IN UPNP NETWORK

An automatic executing method of the audio/video service in UPnP(Universal Plug and Play) network is provided to perform the arbitrary applicable service operation between the first and second device connected with each other automatically, thereby increasing the user's convenience largely. An ID(IDentification) and a type of an AV(Audio/Video) device installed additionally to the UPnP network are obtained, and thereafter a selection menu of the AV device is displayed with reference to the obtained ID and type. When the first AV device is selected through the selection menu(S23), the selection menu of another AV device related to the first AV device is displayed(S25). When the second AV device is selected through the selectively displayed menu, an applicable arbitrary one service operation between the first AV device and the second AV device is executed automatically(S27). The inherent physical ID and type information are allocated at the AV device. The applicable service between the first and second AV devices is stored and managed in the digital TV for performing the function of DMC(Digital Media Controller).
