CLAMP APPARATUS FOR DISK DRIVE

A clamp apparatus for a disk drive is provided to install a clamp at a clamp holder and install the clamp holder at a clamp frame easily without additional parts by recovering elastically deformed edges of the clamp and then hooking the clamp of original diameter by the clamp holder. A clamp apparatus for a disk drive comprises a clamp frame(50), a clamp holder(60), and a clamp(70). The clamp holder, detached from the clamp frame, is formed with multiple hooking pieces(62). The clamp is hooked by the hooking pieces of the clamp holder having a larger diameter than a circular track by elastic deformation, and mounted at the disk selectively to fix the disk at a turntable. A front end of the clamp frame is formed with a front cut part where the clamp holder is installed. A front recess(54) is formed at the front cut part.
