Zusammenfassung:A method and an apparatus for driving address electrodes in a plasma display panel are provided to reduce EMI(Electromagnetic Interference) by suppressing the abrupt variation of currents or voltages during an address period. An apparatus for driving address electrodes includes high and low level transistors(MH,ML), an energy recovery capacitor(Cerc), and a bidirectional transistor(MD). The high and low level transistors deliver address and reference voltages to the address electrodes. The energy recovery capacitor transmits and receives electric charges with a panel capacitor which is an equivalent model of discharge cells. The bidirectional transistor connects or blocks between the panel and energy recovery capacitors. When M discharge cells included in an (n-1)-th row are not selected and M discharge cells included in an n-th row are selected, a driving voltage increased from the reference voltage to the address voltage is applied to the address electrodes during an interval of an address period corresponding to the (n-1)-th and n-th rows.
