METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING SIGNAL IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION

A method for transmitting signals in a wireless communication system is provided to improve the total system performance by improving diversity gain without adding antennas and bandwidth. A control part groups at least two subcarriers having different channel characteristics. In applying the first modulation scheme, the control part grasps all cases to map a symbol to each of the subcarriers belonging to an identical group. The control part applies a preset mapping rule for all the grasped cases, and transmits signals. In case the first modulation scheme is BPSK(Binary Phase Shift Keying) and the number of subcarriers for each group is 2, the number of cases to map a symbol to each subcarrier is 4. The preset mapping rule is to map the first and second subcarriers to the first modulation symbol when the first symbol and the second symbol respectively are mapped to the first subcarrier and the second subcarrier.
