APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INTER-PROCESS COMMUNICATION OF COMMUNICATION SYSTEM INSIDE

A device and a method for performing IPC(Inter-Processor Communication) in a communication system are provided to perform the IPC in the communication system by assigning an IP(Internet Protocol) address with a DHCP(Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server and prevent IP subnet collision during the IPC in the communication system. A storing part(150) stores a network address defining a range of an IP subnet used for IPC of a system(100). A file generator(113) generates a DHCP server configuration file having IP address information to be assigned by using the stored network address. A DHCP server(111) allocates an IP address by using the DHCP server configuration file. A DHCP client(121,131,141) requests the available IP address to the DHCP server. The DHCP server configuration file includes the information for a subnet range of a slave unit(120,130,140) and the IP address information to be assigned to at least one slave unit. The subnet range of the DHCP server configuration file does not collide with the address of the IP subnet used for the IPC by considering the address of the IP subnet connected to an external network.
