Zusammenfassung:A method for reading data from a SIM(Subscriber Identity Module) card and a terminal therefor are provided to make a mobile terminal read all data from a SIM card by a multiple record reading command at one time, thereby improving data reading speed for the SIM card. A method for reading data from a SIM card includes the steps of generating a valid record list having data by searching records of a SIM card(S208), transmitting a multiple record reading command including the valid record list to the SIM card(S210), and receiving data responsive to the multiple record reading command from the SIM card(S212). In the generation of a valid record list, a record searching command is transmitted to the SIM card to search records having no data(S204).
