METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATICALLY CONNECTING WITH MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL IN BLUETOOTH HANDSFREE

A method and an apparatus for connecting with a mobile communication terminal automatically in a Bluetooth handsfree device are provided to attempt paging to all mobile communication terminals registered in a handsfree user list and connect with a corresponding mobile communication terminal by Bluetooth when there is one paged terminal, provide a paged terminal list to a user when there is at least two terminals, and connect the list with a selected terminal through Bluetooth, thereby performing the Bluetooth connection with the mobile communication terminal of a driver even when there are many passengers in a vehicle. A method for connecting with a mobile communication terminal automatically in a Bluetooth handsfree device comprises the following steps of: attempting Bluetooth paging to a mobile communication terminal connected to the Bluetooth handsfree device most recently and attempting Bluetooth paging to each of all mobile communication terminals by using the prestored connection information of all mobile communication terminals Bluetooth-connected to the Bluetooth handsfree device when power is on(121~125); providing a list of paged mobile communication terminals when there are at least two paged mobile communication terminals as a paging result(131,133); and performing a Bluetooth connection with a mobile communication terminal selected by a user out of at least two paged mobile communication terminals(135). The connection information includes a Bluetooth device address or an authentication key corresponding to each of the mobile communication terminals.
