USER INTERFACE METHOD OF MEDIA APPARATUSES

A user interface method for media apparatuses is provided to enable the media apparatuses supporting an HDMI(High Definition Multimedia Interface) CEC(Consumer Electronics Control) protocol to set a source device and a target device and perform operations such as one-touch reproduction or one-touch recording according to a type of the set source device and the target device. A user interface method for media apparatuses comprises the following steps of: transmitting first selection information notifying other media apparatuses that a media apparatus receiving a first selection command of a user out of plural media apparatuses is selected as a source device to the other media apparatuses; transmitting second selection information notifying the source device that a media apparatus receiving a second selection command out of the plural media apparatuses except the source device is selected as a target device to the source device(S409); determining a type of the target device from the second selection information in the source device and analyzing a preset user command on the basis of a type of apparatuses which the source device and the target device can communicates with(S413); and performing operations corresponding to the user command analyzed by the source device in the source device and the target device(S415).
