METHOD, APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR RADIATING BEACON SIGNAL BY USING OPTICAL REPEATER

A method, an apparatus, and a system for radiating beacon signals using an optical repeater are provided to prevent a ping-pong state due to the superposition of beacon signals by radiating beacon signals only to the coverage of a specific FMC remote in case that a mobile terminal executes handoff between a base station of the first mobile communication network and a base station of the second mobile communication network. A system for radiating beacon signals for the execution of a mobile terminal's handoff at the boundary area between the first mobile communication network and the second mobile communication network comprises a base station(110) and an optical repeater(200). The base station(110), installed in the first mobile communication network, creates and transmits RF signals and beacon signals. The optical repeater(200) receives the beacon signals from the base station(110) and delivers the received beacon signals only to a specific FMC remote so that the beacon signals can be radiated to only the coverage of the specific FMC remote.
