Zusammenfassung:A method for controlling flash in a digital photographing apparatus and a flash controller using the same are provided to control a light radiation direction by acquiring the location information of a main subject by using AF(Auto Focus) data and free radiation data, thereby controlling the light radiation direction finely and accurately. A method for controlling flash in a digital photographing apparatus comprises the following steps of: executing AF by pressing a semi-shutter(S100,S102); determining whether the AF is succeeded(S103); acquiring AF data by AF execution when the AF is succeeded(S104); performing free radiation by using the AF data(S105); acquiring the free radiation data by free radiation(S106); checking the location of a main subject by using the AF data and the free radiation data(S108); and changing the light radiation direction of flash according to the location of the main subject(S110).
