3D RAY TRACING METHOD USING QUAD TREE AND METHOD FOR PREDICTING PROPAGATION CHARACTERISTICS USING HASH TABLE

A 3D ray tracing method using a quad tree and a method for predicting propagation characteristics using a hash table are provided to predict the propagation property of microwave in radio communication quickly by enhancing the speed of search for a ray tube including an observation point. Basic data which is necessary for a 3D ray tracing method is inputted(51). A surface being seen from a transmission antenna is searched by using a quad tree(53). A ray tube is created by corresponding to each searched surface(54). A new ray tube is created through the ray tube created previously, and connected with the ray tube which is created previously(55). The previous procedures are repeated as much as the predetermined number of times, for forming a propagation path.
