Zusammenfassung:A scanning device and a control method thereof are provided to offer use convenience by enabling a user to control and set various scanning options provided from a scanner driver in the scanning device. A scanning device(100) includes a user input unit(140), a display unit(130), a communication unit(110) performing data communication with a host device(200), a scanning unit(120) generating a scanning image by scanning an image, and a control unit(150). The control unit displays a UI(User Interface) screen based on scanning setting UI data, which is received from the host device through the communication unit, to the display unit. The control unit transfers scanning setting information received through the user input unit to the host device. The display unit and the user input unit are formed in one body. The controller enables the display unit to display the image corresponding to the scanning image generated from the scanning unit.
