Zusammenfassung:	A cosmetic composition is provided to promote collagen biosynthesis by comprising alpha-ketoglutarate increasing the prolidase activity involving with the supply of proline, a main constituent amino acid of the collagen, together with alpha-lipoic acid increasing the expression of prolyl-4-hydroxylase to make a generated pro-collagen form a right triple helix. A cosmetic composition for improving skin wrinkle comprises 0.001-10 wt.% of alpha-ketoglutarate as an effective ingredient. The composition further comprises 0.001-10 wt.% of alpha-lipoic acid.
