Zusammenfassung:	A metallic housing for a portable terminal is provided to function as an antenna, thereby also implementing strong housing. A portable terminal comprises a housing, a substrate(13), and a coupler(40). The housing, composed of an upper housing(11) and a lower housing(12), is made of a conductive metal. The substrate(13), on which a signal processing module(15) is mounted, is embedded in the housing. The coupler(40), electromagnetically coupling the housing and the substrate(13), feeds the power of the housing to the substrate(13). A pattern part(20) is formed at the upper housing(11). The pattern part(20) is composed of the first slot(21) and the second slot(22). The first slot(21) has a regular pattern, and the second slot(22) has a pattern symmetrical to the pattern of the first slot(21). The first and second slots(21,22) form a neck, which is relatively close to each other, so as to induce an intensive radiation of electromagnetic waves.
