Zusammenfassung:	A bill handling machine is provided to stop the operation thereof by detecting bill jam by sensing bill arrival time by a sensor arranged on the bottom of a rugged part by proceeding a folded bill slantly after colliding a folded part of the bill to the plane of the rugged part. A bill handling machine comprises a bill insertion part inserting a bill and an eject roller(17) ejecting bill from the bill insertion part one by one. A pair of bill guide plates(14,15) guiding the bill ejected from the bill insertion part are formed between two facing transportation planes. A rugged part(21) of the bill is formed on one bill guide plate.
