BACKLIGHT ASSEMBLY AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING THE SAME

A backlight assembly and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device having the same are provided to enable a main support and a bottom cover to be fastened by hooks and fixing holes, thereby preventing badness caused by damage of an internal unit by preventing a flow of the main support fixed in the inner side of the bottom cover. A backlight assembly comprises a bottom cover(180), a lamp(150), a light guide plate(140), a lamp housing(151), optical sheets(130), and a reflection sheet(170). The lamp is disposed in both sides of the bottom cover to emit light. The light guide plate is disposed to forma a side with the lamp and converts line light into surface light. The lamp housing is disposed to cover the lamp and induces the light emitted from the lamp to the light guide plate. The optical sheets are disposed on the light guide plate to diffuse and condense the light. The reflection sheet is disposed in the rear of the light guide plate to reflect the light radiated to the rear of the light guide plate. A support main(120) is additionally included in the backlight assembly. The main support is disposed on the optical sheets to be fastened to the bottom cover. Plural hooks(200) are formed to be protruded at regular intervals in the outline of both sides of the main support.
