PRESSURE REGULATING VALVE

A pressure regulating valve is provided to operatively connect a discharge port in a valve body to a storage vessel and operatively connect a control port to a controlled mechanism. In a pressure regulating valve, a valve body has a bore(77) in a discharge flow passage extending from a supply port(91) to a discharge port(75). The bore is formed by a cylindrical inner surface having a fixed throttle corner. A cylindrical outer surface of the throttle member has an operable throttle corner. The size of the operable throttle corner on a throttle member is set to contract a discharge flow passage when the operable throttle corner is coaxially moved toward the fixed throttle corner on the valve body. The operable throttle corner and the cylindrical outer surface pass through the fixed throttle corner together. The sizes of the operable throttle corner and the cylindrical outer surface is set to close the discharge flow passage when the operable throttle corner and the cylindrical outer surface are moved coaxially into the bore.
