Zusammenfassung:	An image display and a method for improving a sharpness value are provided to prevent the deterioration of image quality depending on a sharpness value by grasping the signal characteristics for each input device and correcting the sharpness value even when an input device is changed. A noise value of an input signal is calculated according to signal equipment in order to correct a sharpness value in an image display including an image signal processing module, which the format of a received image signal is converted into a format for display, and a display module, which displays the output signal from the image signal processing module(S120). The sharpness value is calculated according to the noise value(S150). The sharpness value is set by using the calculated sharpness value(S160).
