A mobile communication terminal to set a focus zone and a method using the same are provided to allow a camera to be focused on a desired portion of an image to photograph an image. A mobile communication terminal includes a camera module(110), an input/output module(130), and a controller(140). The camera module(110) receives an image from an exterior. The input/output module(130) displays the image received through the camera module(110) and outputs a position signal for a touched portion of the image. The controller(140) sets a focus zone of the input image based on the touched portion of the image. The input/output module(130) includes a touch screen. The input/output module(130) generates the position signal according to the recognition of the coordinate value of the touched image portion.
