A CASTING APPARATUS FOR AN ALUMINUM WHEEL

A casting apparatus for an aluminum wheel is provided to manufacture castings with high quality by maintaining a solid united state of upper, lower and side molds after union, thereby preventing outflow of molten metal, and enable the plunger to receive molten metal easily by tilting a plunger. A casting apparatus for an aluminum wheel comprises: a body frame(1) having an inner space part formed therein; a lower body(4) which is fixed to an inner part of the body frame, in which a cavity is formed, and on which side molds(2) and a lower mold(3) are mounted; an upper squeeze body(7) which is installed on an inner part of the body frame to lift an upper mold(6) by an upper cylinder(5) installed on an upper part of the body frame; and a casting and bottom squeezing equipment including a casting plunger(8) inserted into the cavity of the lower body and lifted or lowered, a casting piston(9) lifted or lowered in the casting plunger, and a casting and bottom squeezing cylinder(10) for lifting or lowering the casting piston, wherein a wedge pole(12) is installed on an upper part of the upper squeeze body, and an upper wedge(14) operated by an upper wedge cylinder(13) is installed on the body frame, and an upper part of a lowered wedge pole is clamped and fixed to the upper wedge.
