APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR EXECUTING PARTITION WITHOUT REBOOTING

An apparatus and a method for executing a partition without rebooting are provided to shorten a partition time by removing an additional rebooting process due to a partition process. An input part(210) receives user registration information and partition setup information. A state checking part(220) checks a state of a master region. A hidden region checking part(240) checks the number of hidden regions in order to confirm possibility of a partition process when the master region is in a processing state. A partition execution part(250) perform a partition process for a slave region on the basis of inputted partition setup information when the number of hidden regions is represented as the possibility of the partition process. The master region is set as an arbitrary minimum size. The slave region is an unassigned region to perform a partition process without rebooting.
