DIFFUSING PLATE, BACK LIGHT UNIT AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY HAVING THE SAME

A diffusion plate, and a backlight unit and an LCD including the same are provided to increase an angle of light radiated from the light emitting diode using the diffusion plate to remove a need for a long distance between a light emitting diode and a diffusion plate. A plurality of light emitting diode(106) are arranged at the back of a liquid crystal panel, and provides light for lighting the liquid crystal panel. A diffusion plate(108) is disposed above the light emitting diode, and increases an angle of light radiated from the light emitting diode. The diffusion plate includes a first diffusion layer(140) receiving light radiated from the light emitting diode and including a plurality of first diffusion particles disposed at a lower surface along a direction that the light emitting diode is arranged and having a size of 20mum to 200mum, a second diffusion layer(150) disposed on the first diffusion layer and including a mother material formed of a resin transmitting light, a plurality of second diffusion particles distributed at the mother material and diffusing light input to the mother material, and a base film(130) disposed between the first diffusion layer and the second diffusion layer.
