Zusammenfassung: | A process for carbon nanotube production by which a high-purity single-layered carbon nanotube can be produced. The process for producing a single-layered carbon nanotube is characterized in that a feed material mixture which comprises a raw hydrocarbon, a metallocene, and a sulfur compound is introduced in an aerosol state into an introduction zone where hydrogen gas is passing at a linear velocity of 1-50 m/sec, the concentrations of the raw hydrocarbon and metallocene being 0.01-2.0 mass% and 0.001-0.2 mass%, respectively, based on the sum of the hydrogen gas and the feed material mixture and the concentration by mass of the sulfur compound being 1/8 to 4 times that of the metallocene, and the hydrogen gas and the feed material mixture introduced are then passed through a reaction zone set at 800-1,000°C. |
