Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a reactive protective device that does not cause end-ballistically relevant splintering for an object to be protected, characterized in that two pyrotechnic layers (2, 3) slanted in the active area of the threat are placed on both sides of a rigid or flexible, single layer or multilayer support (4) of any shape so that shock waves and reaction gases are formed once both layers are ignited and these shock waves and reaction gases are accelerated at a very high speed at an angle both against as well as in the direction of the penetrating threat in such a manner that the pyrotechnic protective surface is in a dynamic balance for almost the entire active time.
