Zusammenfassung:A composition comprising an extract of Prunus japonica Thunb is provided to promote the keratinocyte cell proliferation, thereby preventing the hair loss and promoting the hair growth with safety to human body. A composition for preventing hair loss and promoting hair growth comprises an extract of Prunus japonica Thunb or a solvent fraction thereof obtained by fractionating the extract with C1-4 alcohol, a mixture solvent of water with C1-4 alcohol, acetone, ethyl acetate, chloroform, butyl acetate, 1,3-butylene glycol, hexane or diethylether.
