A DEVICE AND A METHOD FOR COATING WIRE ROD OF OPTIC OVERHEAD EARTH WIRE

An apparatus and a method for coating a wire rod of an optic overhead earth wire are provided to reduce manufacturing cost by directly performing a stringing work right after coating the wire rod and to prevent the deterioration of wire rod due to coating aluminum powder with high quality. An apparatus for coating a wire rod of an optic overhead earth wire includes a supplying unit(110), a transmitting pipe(50), a powder supplying unit(130), and more than one spray gun(10). The supplying unit(110) supplies gas of high pressure. The transmitting pipe(50) transmits the gas of high pressure from the supplying unit(110). The powder supplying unit(130) is connected with the transmitting pipe(50) to supply powder, and mixes the powder with the transmitted gas. More than one spray gun(10) inject the mixed gas and the powder on a surface of the wire rod.
